Many connoisseurs believe that Saalbach is one of the Alps most complete ski resorts. When the bus rolls into the village, you feel a little tingle. You’re arriving in a cozy alpine village that offers fun, varied skiing and unbeatable Après-Ski.

The people of the old mining and farming town of the last century have invested wholeheartedly into snow. While an ultra-modern ski system emerged, locals have managed to preserve the area's charm and traditions. The cable car start straight at the village’s main street and in the evening you can ski all the way back to the main square.

For those who want a easy start, the blue slopes in Vorderglemm are recommended. The next step is taking the ski bus to one of the neighboring villages of Leogang, Kohlmaiskopf and Bernkogel with many great red and blue slopes. Those who are looking for a challenge should head to Schattberg East and experience one of the best runs in the ski circus. A 7 km long blue slope with Saalbach's highest vertical drop of 1100 meters!

Explore the pearl Fieberbrunn

Before the winter season 2015/2016 Saalbach ski area was linked to Fieberbrunn via a new chairlift on Reiterkogel. This does not only connect two ski areas, but also two regions, Salzburg and Tyrol. Together, this will be one of Austria's largest ski areas with its 270 kilometers of slopes. Fieberbrunn is suitable for medium good skiers to experts, thanks to its long fine slopes and world famous off-piste. Try the new PowAirea, which can be best described as a fun park in the loose snow. Childish fun.
